What is a Virtual Assistant?
A Virtual Assistant provides business support services such as administration, marketing, office management and other support tasks from a remote location. A VA is NOT an employee, but an independent business that provides services for an hourly fee or a monthly retainer.

How does a Virtual Assistant work?
Contact Business Demon Ltd with details of the work you’d like us to carry out. We can then discuss any criteria or deadlines that you have, the most convenient way of completing these tasks and getting them back to you, either by e-mail or fax etc. We will usually send the work to you for approval prior to final presentation, unless agreed otherwise.

Can we meet to discuss my requirements?
Most of the work undertaken by Business Demon Ltd is completed without needing to meet the client face-to-face, correspondence is usually done by telephone, e-mails, faxes, etc. However there are occasions when it is beneficial to have a face to face meeting to establish a clear understanding of your requirements and to develop our working partnership, and we will be happy to visit your offices when required.

Can you collect and/or deliver work?
Business Demon Ltd can collect and deliver work as and when required, any cost will depend on the distance and the time involved.

Do I need to use a local VA?
No – one of the main advantages of your VA being “virtual” is that location isn’t important. All the work can be distributed via e-mail, fax and phone etc. Where you are doesn’t impact at all on the services that we can provide for you. Even if you were to relocate you can still keep the services of the same VA.

What are the benefits of hiring a VA as opposed to an employee?
There are a number of benefits – No employee taxes, benefits or insurance; you don’t need to provide any space or equipment and you only pay for productive hours, not for coffee breaks, personal phone calls or down time. On top of that you can hire a VA for a limited time period, for example during a seasonal busy period, where a full time member of staff isn’t required.

How do we pay for this service?
You will be invoiced on a weekly basis for the work actually carried out by Business Demon Ltd, based on an agreed hourly rate and rounded up to the nearest 5 minutes and for a minimum of 1 hour. Arrangements can be made for a retainer contract which will reduce the hourly rate.
